The Beginning
Awakening… injured… pain… HUNGER!
She felt weird, some sort of dumb, floating in eternity… there’s been something, a lost fight, the terror of bursting into pieces, the agony – death had nothing peaceful in it, but wait a minute… death?
She rose, just to fell down to her knees, her body didn’t work as intended, seemed not to belong to her… tender hands helped her up, comforted her, her blurry sight slightly getting sharper, revealing a female… looking familiar.
“What… happened…?”… Silence was all she got back, and a sad smile… “Where am I, please say something….” The female still held her up, still saying nothing, but the grief in her eyes got deeper…. She shivered “Who are you?” Tears appeared in the females eyes, slowly rolling down her cheeks, when she finally cried out “Who am I?”
The female guided her to a table, where food was stapled…. Meat, soup, bread…. In an instinctive rage, she grabbed for the Tayga Wine Steak, but after two bits she nearly vomited, the female taking away the Steak, handing her a bit of Soup… “You, you were Xhex….“ the female finally spoke with a trembling voice. “Mighty Gladiator, Daeva, struck down by the enemy, bursting into pieces, fading into the mist… and somehow reborn into this shape…” She grasped, nearly spit out the Soup she had been offered. “But how…?” “The elders don’t know yet, they are still discussing whether you are Xhex or not, as your shape is slightly different from what it used to be, but I am sure you are Xhex….” She felt uneasy, at the steady look of the female… she sure felt comfortable in her company, but… “How come you are so sure ‘bout that” she mumbled between sips of her Soup. The first real smile appeared in the females face: “Xhex loved Tayga Wine Steak more then anything else, even as a child you couldn’t get enough of it”, and adding, “I am your sister, Vita, and I do know that you are Xhex, you finally are back.”
The door opened, and through the sunlight Xhex – Xhex? Is this really me? – saw the figure of another female, carrying some tog. “Did she finally wake up?” the younger female asked, “Are you sure she is Xhex?” Vita stroke over Xhex – Xhex? – hair, and peace flooded Xhexs – Xhex! – soul …. “Yes, Amazone, I am sure, this is our sister Xhex, though she can’t remember a thing, my healing powers aren’t strong enough yet”. Amazone – her sister? – moved closer, and now Xhex could see the resemblance between the two females… red hair, green eyes, horns?? She gripped up to her head, felt horns under her fingers, taking up some hair, holding it in front of her face, yes, red too and her eyes? Vita smiled at her, handing over a tiny mirror, and yes, Xhex looked into another pair of green eyes. “Actually, we are 8 siblings”.
